Welcome to EveryScribe. Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. This privacy policy outlines how we collect, use, and most importantly, how we protect your personal information and media files when you use our audio and video transcription services.

Our Core Privacy Principles

We built EveryScribe with privacy as a foundational feature, not an afterthought:

• We do not train AI on your data: Your audio files, video files, and resulting transcripts are never used to train or improve our machine learning models.
• Secure Offline Mode: We offer a dedicated offline engine that processes your highly sensitive files entirely on your local device.
• Secure Cloud Storage: If you use our online super-models, your uploaded media and transcripts are securely stored in your account to give you access to your transcription history at any time. You can manually delete your files permanently whenever you choose.

Information We Collect

To provide you with our services, we collect limited types of data:

1. Account Information

   • What We Collect: Name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
   • Purpose: To manage your subscription, provide customer support, and secure your account.

2. Payment and Billing Information

   • What We Collect: Necessary billing details processed securely by our third-party payment providers (e.g., Stripe). We do not store your full credit card numbers on our servers.
   • Purpose: To facilitate subscription billing and maintain your premium access.

3. Usage Details & Analytics

   • What We Collect: Basic interactions with our web application (e.g., features accessed, error logs, and browser type).
   • Purpose: To diagnose technical issues and improve the overall user experience of our platform.

4. Media and Transcripts (Online Processing)

   • What We Collect: Audio or video files you explicitly upload to be processed by our cloud models, and the generated text.
   • Purpose: To deliver the transcription service requested and maintain your transcription history. These files are kept private, heavily encrypted, and you retain the right to delete them from your account at any time.

Data Storage and Security

We implement industry-standard encryption (such as TLS/SSL) to protect data in transit. Your account metadata is stored securely on modern cloud infrastructure with strict access controls.

However, for the highest level of security, we strongly encourage users handling confidential corporate data, patient interviews, or sensitive journalistic recordings to utilize our Offline Mode, which guarantees zero network transmission of your media.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to outside parties. We only share information under the following strict circumstances:

• To trusted third-party service providers (like payment processors and cloud hosting) who need the information to operate our business, subject to strict confidentiality agreements.
• To comply with legally binding requests from law enforcement or public authorities.

Your Data Rights

You have full control over your data. You may:

• Access, update, or correct your account information at any time.
• Delete your account and all associated metadata by contacting support.
• Manage or clear your local browser storage where offline transcripts are temporarily cached.

EveryScribe Chrome 插件

插件在本机识别音视频。本地文件、标签页或 Chrome 共享会话采集的音频、文件名和字幕不会自动上传给 EveryScribe。模型首次从 models.everyscribe.com 下载并缓存在插件本地 IndexedDB。字幕及来源名称保存于本地历史，偏好保存于 chrome.storage.local；可在插件中删除历史条目和已下载模型。卸载或清理插件数据会删除本地记录，已经导出的文件仍保留在用户选择的位置。关闭侧栏会停止音频采集。

需要联网查询账号及每日额度。认证请求使用浏览器管理的官网会话。计量时只提交任务类型，不提交本地音频或字幕；账号、订阅、付款及用量记录由官网管理。界面切换语言不会翻译字幕。

在目标标签页点击插件图标授权后，打开「网页媒体」或重新扫描才会读取该页媒体链接和标题，并在本地展示；包含可访问的开放 Shadow DOM，不持续监视浏览历史或自动传输网页内容。

主动使用会员链接抽取时，提交的链接会发送给官网及媒体抽取服务，由其获取媒体并返回音频下载地址，随后在本机识别。若希望避免向抽取服务提交来源链接，可使用本地文件或标签页监听。官网、模型 CDN 和所选媒体服务器会接收 IP 地址、请求时间等正常网络请求信息。

插件不含独立广告、追踪或分析 SDK。我们不出售插件用户数据，不用本地音频或字幕训练模型，数据只用于上述转录、账号及用量服务。对 Google API 所接收信息的使用和传输遵守 Chrome Web Store 用户数据政策及 Limited Use 要求。

账号数据访问、删除或隐私问题可联系 [email protected]。本地删除不删除导出文件或官网账号记录；官网及抽取供应商的数据保留依适用的网站和供应商政策处理。
