FAQ

Common questions about interview transcription for reporting.

Who is this for?

Journalists, writers, documentary makers and podcasters who interview sources and need accurate, attributable quotes.

How do you protect anonymous sources?

Mark the source as anonymous: quotes copy as "an anonymous source", exports never include the name, and the AI is instructed never to identify them. You can also transcribe on your own device so the audio is never uploaded.

Can I trust the quotes?

Every quote carries its timestamp. Listen back, correct the transcript if needed, and mark the quote verified before you use it.

How much does it cost?

A $20/month subscription includes 600 credits. Cloud transcription with speaker labels is 1.5 credits per audio minute; transcripts you make for free on your own device cost nothing to add. AI analysis is charged by usage β€” typically a few credits per interview.
